Furniture Care Tips

Most of our products are made of wood imported from Asia. It is a natural material of plant origin sensitive to variations in humidity and heat. In order to maintain their quality and optimize their longevity, it is important to take care of them. Below you will find a list of maintenance tips to maintain the shine of your furniture.

CLEANING :
Most often, a clean, soft, lint-free cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Moisten it with a little water, so that the fabric catches the dust without wetting the wood.

We recommend this method rather than using existing cleaning products, as these may contain chemical components. Certainly, they initially give the illusion of a satisfactory result, but they can hide harmful side effects for the varnish of your furniture (white spots, varnish "peels", opaque surface, etc.) which do not are not covered by the warranty on our products.

It is also recommended to use cork, wood or silicone trivets, which effectively protect surfaces from heat.

Never iron on your table or any other wooden furniture.

INTERVIEW :
Protection of wood against humidity:
Exposure, especially sudden, of wood to humidity can cause damage to your furniture such as cracks or twisting. Therefore, it is preferable not to expose your furniture near an air duct so that it does not suffer from variations in air temperature. In winter, the climate is even harsher and drier, so you have to be particularly careful during this difficult period. In particularly dry environments, using a humidifier may be beneficial to maintain optimal humidity levels.

Protection against chemicals, sun and other heat sources:
Avoid exposing your furniture directly to the sun; contact with UV rays may discolor it or even cause the wood to crack.

Be careful not to place hot objects on the furniture, heat can alter the composition of the furniture and leave marks. This problem can be circumvented by installing resistant trivets. Be careful, if you place decorative objects, place pads under them beforehand.
