Description

Jamjuree Wood

The Buddhas of Thailand
They are from the city of Chiang Mai (Ban Tawai Artisan Village) in the
north of the country.

What do the pink labels on the Buddhas mean?

The process for declaring the export of Buddhas from Thailand requires requesting authorization from the local authorities.
1st step: taking photos and requesting an export license for buddahs.
2nd step : loading all the buddahs into a truck to be transported to the national museum in Chiang Mai.
3rd step : Once the documents have been approved and the Buddhas have been certified as compliant for export, the Governor of Chiang Mai, who is the authorized signing person to validate the entire process, will affix his signature and the conformity labels will be affixed to each Buddha. They are now approved for loading on the boat by the shipping company and then made available in our stores
